Wet Lamp by NONdesigns

Wet Lamp by nondesigns

The WET Lamp, by NONdesigns (Scott Franklin and Miao Miao) is exactly what it sounds like:  a seemingly disastrous combination of electricity and water. With an exposed light bulb in water, a thin silver rod slides into the water and the light becomes progressively brighter as the rod is submerged. NONdesigns promises that the isolated system of low voltage power is totally safe, and that innate fear is part of its engaging design, also, the bulbs can be easily replaced.

The cleanly executed balance of elegant form and simple, interactive science result in a design that is both playful and smart.

The WET Lamp is available in three sizes, and starts at $210.
